Instructor(s): Jami Gold
Price(s): $35.00 USD
Where: WANA Virtual Classroom
When: April 22, 2014 from 9 - 10:30 PM NY Time (US EST)
Are you ready to invest in a website (or blog) but don't know where to start?
Overwhelmed by having to learn yet another new thing?
Never fear—all you need is one hour to learn everything about creating a website using WordPress and other Internet resources. We'll cover the following steps:
- Deciding on website goals,
- Organizing information for a set of pages: about me, products, contact, etc.,
- Deciding on a hosting company,
- Choosing a Word Press theme and style,
- Creating static Word Press pages, and
- Creating and populating a blog page.
This class is for beginners, and is intended for students with no knowledge of WordPress (or of creating websites and blogs at all!). Students will receive a handout and access to a private webpage with additional tips and instruction. At the end of this class, students will have an overview of WordPress, know how to set up a basic website, and even know how to add a blog.
The presentation will last for approximately 60 minutes and includes an additional 30 minutes for plenty of question and answer time. (The class will be recorded and made available to registrants, so even if you can't make it at the scheduled time, you can sign up and listen later at your convenience.)
